Empire of Sports hosting the First Virtual Skeleton Championship

Skeleton is an extreme winter sport in which athletes have to quickly run down icy tracks on gravity-powered sleds. Skeleton requires the athlete to be in a particular position during the race, as a player's chin is millimetres far from the ice below. This discipline  has been an international sport for over 100 years and has just been introduced to the Winter Olympics.

Empire of Sports could be considered more like a gaming platform than a game, and is designed to echo real life sporting events from all over the world and providing large spaces where players can share their passions and interests. Lately, also thanks to an ever-growing community, the platform is getting better and better; the title also offers a very significant range of sports, clubs, competitions, events and famous sports brands.

The Championships are of course available for all Empire of Sports players who want to apply. The Virtual World Skeleton Championships are just the beginning of the special events: the qualifications are open to everybody, but only Premium qualified players will be likely to keep on playing the final stages and challenge to win one of the several prizes.

The championships have been divided into four competitions, based on players' Bobsleigh levels, in order to let any competitor play take part in the game. These are the levels:

• Amateur series (Level 1 to 15 in bob).
• Experienced series (Level 16 to 30 in bob).
• Pro series (Level 31 to 45 in bob).
• Elite series (Level 46 and above in bob).

Only three of the best players will get to the top of the leader board, and will be awarded with a real bobsleigh ride on an official track or a skeleton training day. The other players will be rewarded with a series of virtual prizes such as gold, booster items, ranking points, and much more.
